It’s 12.21 am here in India. And it’s the 8th of July. Any idea what that means? It’s my birthday, guys! I am finally 17 years old! 😀

Sooo… one more year to turn 18, then? An adult? Oh my god, an adult. I don’t even know how to feel about that, to be honest. Adulthood would give me the freedom that every teenager yearns for. But adulthood also means shouldering your own responsibilities without depending on anyone. And as appealing as independence is, it’s also quite overwhelming to think about…

But why am I worrying about that right now? I’m turning 17, and I should be happy, and I should focus on the present instead of worrying about the future. Aaaand I should also probably go to sleep. Because I’m blabbering to myself in a blog post. What is wrong with me?

Let me just stop eating your heads, eh? 😛

P.S. Oh my god, this is actually my birthday, and it is my birthday, so why am I so calm here? Like, shouldn’t I be squealing in excitement? Something is wrong with me…

    • Oh, for a moment I was like, ‘Oh my God, I’m getting all my wishlist of books for my b’day! That is the most awesome thing that could possibly happen to me!’ and then… cruel reality sinks in 😦

  14. I am in Bangladesh, a neighboring country of yours 🙂 I am 19 now. And honestly, the time I turned 18, I felt more like a baby than ever XD I think it is the time when you realize how much of a kid you are. I am 19 now but feel like a 10 year old. I still live with my parents, IIs till don’t want to leave them. If something happens, I will probably cry to my ferocious, tiger-mother. But growing up is just…physically growing up to me :I I still play with the water when I open the tap. I haven’t messed around with water lately, I need to start doing that again. But no need to freak, age really is a freakin’ number 😮
